J.T.’s defensive game balls for 42-13 win versus No. 16 SMU

The No. 9/10 Cincinnati Bearcats held No. 16 SMU Mustangs down all night during their 42-13 win. SMU came into the game averaging 42.6 points a game and 563.2 total yards and this dominate unit held them to 13 points and 290 total yards. The numbers aren’t typos even with Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner and countless others battling a few injuries this unit held it down. They held SMU to 7-of-20 on third down and 1-of-5 on fourth down. They also had one takeaway, 9.0 tackles for loss and four sacks on Saturday.

This was another truly dominating performance by Marcus Freeman’s group.
