Multiple reports state the Bearcats will play Vanderbilt at Fifth Third Arena on Thursday at 6 pm. UC was supposed to play SMU, but because of SMU’s COVID situation they had to cancel the game.

Cincinnati was originally scheduled to host SMU, but the game was canceled due to COVID-19 issues with the Mustangs.

The University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team will play host to Vanderbilt on Thursday, Mar. 4 at Fifth Third Arena. Tipoff is 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
Cincinnati (9-9, 7-6 American) was originally scheduled to play American Athletic Conference foe SMU on Thursday but the contest was canceled Sunday morning due to a continuation of a suspension of activities in the Mustangs’ program.
Tickets purchased for the previously canceled SMU contest will be valid for the Vanderbilt game. A limited number of additional tickets will be made available for sale to the general public Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. ET. UC leads the series with Vanderbilt 6-1, having won the last three meetings. The two teams last played in the first round of the 2009 Maui Invitational with the Bearcats claiming a 67-58 victory.
The Bearcats are coming off an 80-74 home loss to Memphis on Sunday. Vanderbilt (7-13, 3-11 Southeastern Conference) defeated Ole Miss, 75-70, in Nashville on Saturday. The Commodores play at LSU on Tuesday before coming to the Queen City.
Cincinnati plays its regular-season finale Sunday at East Carolina. Tipoff is 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
