Having a strong group of upperclassmen like the Bearcats have in the linebacker room is awesome for younger guys like Deshawn Pace, Jaheim Thomas, Daved Jones, Jr. and Cameron Junior. Pace, Jones, Jr. and Thomas look more comfortable in their second season with the program. Learning from a group of guys who have been here for the last few years to be leaders for them is awesome because something the Bearcats have preached is “leaving the place better than they found it at” and that’s been a quote we have heard a lot recently.
This linebacker room is very special and will be something to keep an eye on as the season kicks off this weekend. The leaders in that locker room like guys like Joel Dublanko, Darrien Beavers, there’s just so much talent on the defense that people have maybe forgotten that the Bearcats are returning a very strong defense on all aspects of the ball. This linebacker core will be a very special group of this defense and will defiantly start to draw attention as the season goes on just because the defense for the bearcats is so talented that many they can throw a different mix of guys out there and will cause problems for opposing offenses. This will be a fun group of guys to watch as the season kicks off and will be an area fans will have to keep an eye on for this defense because they are a special group of guys.
