The Bearcats could run a multi-tight end set a lot this season as they will trout out their dynamic duo in Josh Whyle and Lenny Taylor. Whyle who is now a junior really made a huge step last year and became a major contributor to this offense. While his partner Lenny Taylor has been involved in the offense in many ways the last couple of years. Taylor who is now a senior has been called upon for screenplays for pass blocking and amongst other roles that have really helped expand the offense. Whyle and Taylor should be able to contribute big time this year and open up a lot of options for Mike Denbrock to play around with.
The Bearcats will also have a lot of options at wide receiver this upcoming season. They will run out a wide receiver duo of Alec Pierce (Sr), Michael Young, Jr. (G-Sr), and Tyler Scott (So). Who will begin the game for the Bearcats and they have plenty of options to play around with. They have the speed with freshman Will Pauling and junior Tre Tucker, they have guys they can toss to help Pierce and Young when they need a break in Jordan Jones (G-Sr), Blue Smith (Jr), Chris Scott (R-Fr), and Jadon Thompson (So).
The amount of options that they can go with on the offense is scary and can cause a lot of issues for defenses this upcoming year. For a team that has always been a defensive juggernaut, it seems like the offense is starting to catch up and it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. We will see what the Bearcats do on Saturday to exploit some of these ideas, but it will be a lot of fun to watch the Bearcats this fall.
