The Cincinnati Bearcats defense stood tall against the Indiana Hoosiers explosive offense. Forcing three interceptions and a fumble in the game. Deshawn Pace, Arquon Bush and Bryan Cook all tallied one interception each. In the second quarter Bryan Cook intercepted Micheal Penix Jr. in the red zone at Cincinnati’s 8 yard line. That play started to shift the momentum back to Cincinnati. Later in the second quarter Arquon Bush was able to intercept quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. at Indiana’s 46 yard line. With 53 seconds left, the Bearcats offense was able to get down the field and finish the half with a field goal. With the score 14-10 at half, Bearcats trailing.

Overall the defense held the Hoosiers to 6-of-16 on third down efficiency and 1-of-3 on fourth down efficiency. They held the offense to 3-of-6 in the red zone, getting an interception and two fourth down stops inside the 20 yard line. The stops inside the red zone were huge, on the other hand the Bearcats were 5-of-5 in the red zone which is very important.
The Bearcats registered one sack by Darrian Beavers. Cincinnati’s leading tacklers were Deshawn Pace with 10 total tackles and Darrian Beavers with nine total tackles. As well as holding the Hoosiers top receiver Ty Fryfogle was held to one catch for 13 yards for the game. The final score was 38-24. Making the Week 3 game a huge road game victory.
