The Bearcats also had big nights from Shannon Williams, Maria Mallon, Sarah Norcom as they all finished with seven kills. Williams also had 4 blocks at the net. Mallon recorded another 12 digs and two blocks, as Mallon really stuffed the stat sheet in all categories tonight. Adria Oliver came in late in the match and brought a big spark as she recorded five kills and four blocks. Setter Emme Madden did a fantastic job controlling the offense as she recorded 33 assists, three service aces, two kills and nine digs. Junior libero Payton Frederick did a tremendous job in the back row setting up Emme Madden to run the offense as the junior recorded 10 digs.
With the win tonight, the Bearcats have now won 8 of their last 9 matches including three in a row to start AAC play. The Bearcats have all the momentum in their favor heading into their next match, this Sunday as they welcome Temple to Fifth Third Arena at 1 pm. If you guys haven’t got to check out a volleyball game this season, you are missing out as this is a special team as the Bearcats are rolling as they will look to make it four in a row in AAC play this weekend.
