JS: First question how was your visit overall to the University of Cincinnati?
JH: It was amazing. It was my 3rd time on the campus. I went twice in June, once for an individual workout and tour and once for a camp. We were able to see the new team meeting room that’s almost finished which was very nice. I love the way the campus is set up where the stadium is right there by everything. The atmosphere during the game was like no other. The coaching staff is something I feel sets them apart from other schools.
JS: Did you get to talk to any of the coaching staff? If so, how was the relationship with them?
JH: Yes, I was able to talk to coach (Luke) Fickell (head coach) and Gino (Guidugli (passing game coordinator/quarterbacks)) before the game. Then after I talked to Gino again and coach (Mike) Denbrock (offensive coordinator). I definitely have the strongest relationship with coach Guidugli. I stay in touch with weekly with him.
JS: How was it to watch a Top 5 football program and student section live in person?
JH: It was wild. By far the loudest gameday atmosphere I’ve been apart of.
JS: What has it been like to be able to visit campus and have a normal recruiting season with covid slowly starting to get behind us?
JH: It’s been great, finally getting to see and experience everything in person has definitely made a difference. It sucked not being able to do any of this last year, but i’m glad everything’s gradually going back to normal so that I get to have that experience.
JS: What made you want to play football originally?
JH: I’ve played ever since I was 5, then quit and didn’t play in middle school, but freshman year came around and I decided to play again and fell back in love with the game.
JS: I know you said you been on campus a couple times do you plan on coming back to campus anytime in the future?
JH: Yes, I plan on coming back at least one more time for another game day visit.
