Cincinnati football head coach Luke Fickell will serve as a guest analyst on ESPN’s studio shows on Monday leading up to the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T on ESPN at 8 p.m.
Fickell is scheduled to appear on a variety of shows throughout the day, including College GameDay Built by The Home Depot (6 – 8 p.m.), Championship Drive Presented by Capital One (3 – 5 p.m.) and College Football Live (1:30 – 3 p.m.) among other studio shows.
Fickell led the Bearcats to the greatest season in school history this fall. UC won a school-record 13 games, captured a second consecutive AAC Championship and earned a berth in the College Football Playoff Semifinals at the 86th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
Fickell won nearly ever national coach of the year award, collecting honors as the Home Depot National Coach of the Year, Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year, Dodd Trophy winner and the Sporting News National Coach of the Year, while also earning Coach of the Year honors from the AAC for a third time.
Fickell has a record of 48-15 at Cincinnati, winning more than 76% of his games with the Bearcats. Over the last four years, Cincinnati is 44-7 and its 86.2 winning percentage ranks among the top five teams in the country.
Cincinnati has gone 22-2 over the last two seasons with their only losses coming to the two teams meeting on Monday night for the national championship – No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Georgia.
