Taking an early look at the Bearcats backfield

Ryan Montgomery

Montgomery was the 3rd leading rusher on the team this season. He played in all 14 games, was a main staple as a punt returner, but this season he was the normally the first to get the call to spell Ford. He showed some home run skill with a long of 55 yards and skill to make plays out the backfield.

I know it is early, but Montgomery is my current favorite to be the lead back next season.

2021 stats: 46 carries, 312 yards, 6.8 yards per carry and 3 touchdowns. 6 catches, 42 yards, 7.0 yards per catch and 1 touchdown
