JS: How was the environment at Spring Ball?
TV: The environment at Spring Ball was incredibly exciting, but also business like. Coach Fickell proved Saturday his team has a lot of juice, but it was also about pushing each other and competing with a common goal in mind. At the same time they kept an energy that made guys want to work harder and compete.
JS: How was the visit? What did you like most?
TV: The visit was overall very nice and productive. It definitely gave me a closer look into the culture of Cincinnati football, as well as the facilities and the campus itself. My favorite party was the OL/DL 1 v. 1 competition. It was an excellent time to be able to see how coaches worked with their guys and showcase the type of energy Cincinnati is all about.
JS: Describe what it means to have UC showing interest?
TV: To me I’m incredibly honored that UC has shown interest and taken the time to evaluate me as a prospect. As an Illinois kid who lost out on our fall season last year and instead opted a spring season, recruiting has been difficult so I’m very honored Cincinnati has taken the time to look into me.
JS: Who on the staff have you built a relationship with?
TV: At the moment I have spent most of my time communicating with coach (Mike) Cummings (offensive line coach), we’ve only been in contact for a short time, but it was a good opportunity to get to know each other Saturday.
JS: Do you plan on visiting again soon?
TV: I don’t have any plans to visit against very soon unless the coaching staff decides they would like to see me out again. Right now, I plan on making my way out again this summer and hitting a camp.
JS: Describe your game?
TV: My game is physical and mean. I’m not a guy who is going to appear flashy, but when I step on the field my mission is to get my job done and put someone on their back while I’m at it. I also take al to of pride in my technique my game is always technically sound in pass protection.
JS: Do you have any ties to any current players on the roster?
TV: Me and Luke Dalton have the same offensive line trainer (Kevin Sabo from FIST Football) in the Chicago area.
