Bryan Cook joined Alec Pierce as a second-round draft pick when he was selected 62nd overall by the Kansas City Chiefs. Cook joins a very talented team that has loads of superstars. Cook will join brand new Chiefs safety Justin Reid in Kansas City in hopes of replacing arguably one of the most talented safetys in all of the NFL in Tyrann Mathieu.
Reese’s Senior Bowl invitee who had a breakout senior campaign after starting only two games in the 2020 Peach Bowl season. Cook was an All-AAC First Team selection. He played the first two seasons at Howard before transferring back home and sitting out the 2019 season per NCAA rules…Totaled 93 tackles, including 5.5 for loss, with nine pass breakups. Cook a ball-hawking safety that helped UC to rank No. 1 in the country in pass efficiency defense (103.37), No. 2 in passing yards allowed (169.2), No. 3 in interceptions (19), and No. 4 in opponent completion % (54.0). Collected CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team honors. Cook joining Kansas City will put him right in the thick of things to go a win a championship surrounded by superstars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and others!
