Week 5 @ Tulsa, WIN
The Bearcats start conference play with a bang. The Bearcats kill the Golden Hurricane on both sides of the ball in this game. The Golden Hurricane have a brand new offensive line behind their quarterback and I think the Bearcat’s defensive line takes the trenches in this game.
Week 6 Vs South Florida, WIN
The Bearcats jump into another AAC home match against the Bulls. The Bulls have a new quarterback in Gerry Bohanon that will help turn the Bulls’ program around. The Bulls are still a lot of pieces away from contending though in the American. The Bulls have no real threats on defense and the Bearcats’ playmakers should be able to expose that and give the Bearcats an easy win at Nippert.
Week 8 @ SMU, WIN
This will be a tough matchup for the Bearcats. SMU is always a tough matchup for the Bearcats and on the road will be a tough ask for this team. The Bearcats will have to rey on their defense and run game to keep up with SMU’s tough offense. The Bearcat’s defense clutches this out and they pull off a tough game on the road in the final seconds.
Week 9 @ UCF, LOSS
This, in my opinion, will be the game of the year in the American. The Bearcats will have a tough matchup against a very tough UCF offense. I think Cincinnati’s defense keeps the Bearcats in the game, but I think The Bearcats struggle on offense against a very tough UCF secondary. Cincinnati will have a brand new starter at quarterback this year and I don’t see the Bearcats offense putting up enough points in the end to last back-to-back tough games on the road. This game will be CLOSE, but Cincinnati falls.
