Jowon Briggs, defensive line
In a triple-threat offense, the game can be won from the defensive lien and how they play. The game was won early when the defensive line shut down any attempts of running the ball inside that the Owls tried. Briggs was one that stood out in the defensive game. Briggs finished the game with eight total tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss. The big thing about Briggs today was stepping up for the young guys and leading the charge from the inside of the defensive line.
