This afternoon the Bearcats landed a commitment from three star defensive lineman Brian Simms III, a member of the 2023 class. Simms was recently committed to Boston College before announcing he would be de-committing on Wednesday. Simms was on campus over the weekend for the Bearcats homecoming matchup where the defeated USF 28-24.
Simms is currently rated the 95th defensive lineman in the country as well as the 15th ranked player in the state of Maryland in the class of 2023. The Baltimore, Maryland native attends St. Frances Academy, stands 6-foot-4, weighs 245 pounds and will look to join an already stacked 2023 recruiting class for Luke Fickell and company. The Bearcats recruiting class of 2023 was currently ranked 21st in the nation before adding Simms (makes the 22nd commit), as they now look to crack the Top 20 in the 2023 rankings.
The Bearcats football staff led by Luke Fickell are continuing to show why they are one of the top teams in the country and continue to recruit such high-level players as they head to the Big 12 starting in 2023. Simms joins Kamari Burns as the defensive linemen in the class of 2023 for the Bearcats.
