Pace anchored the defense after a huge tackle for loss and quarterback hurry on the opening drive, you got an early sense that Pace would be in for a huge afternoon. Pace finished with a game high 11 tackles, a sack, 2.5 tackles for loss, a hurry and pass breakup. Pace was flying around this afternoon, and it was something the Bearcats defense needed especially in this rough losing streak they are on.
The whole Bearcats defensive line, as the Bearcats were living rent free in the backfield it seemed as they finished with a season high 10 tackles for loss, led by Pace with 2.5. However, Tyler Gillison and Jowon Briggs both had great performances as they both recorded 1.5 tackles for loss as they really made things difficult in the pocket for a banged-up Blake Shapen.
