LB’s Simeon Coleman and Montay Weeden: “The physicality those two guys bring is what stands out the most. Simeon, has had some hits where he has taken some heads off of people, some of it looks illegal because he has hit them so hard, I have seen helmets flying after he makes a tackle. I will tell you more about Simeon, he has one of the biggest smiles every time he walks in a room, he is like a giant teddy bear hanging out. But once he puts the pads on something switches on the field once he starts hitting people. I love how physical he is, but both Weedon and Coleman can move really well, they’re physical. At this day in age, you have to have linebackers that fill the gap, but also ones that can run especially in this conference. We feel like both of those guys can do that.”
DE Marqueze Parker: “Marquaze Parker is a guy we think has great size with great twitch. He came to camp last year and put on a show. He got coached hard by Coach Stewart, but for him to move like that at his size, man we are excited for him.”
TE’s Gavin Grover and Devyn Zahursky: “We wanted to add some more length and when you think of guys like Gavin Grover and Devyn Zahursky, you think of those Big 12 looking tight ends that come in with great size, but also have really great hands.”
CB Daniel James: “Daniel James is an awesome kid, he is everything you look for character wise. James is very athletic who runs track and is one of the better track runners in the state of Georgia. You take that athleticism and size with how he can move and flip his hips. We feel like he is a really good player that has so much versatility. He is a guy that can play corner, safety, nickel, there is a lot of things Danial James can do with that speed and versatility. He is one that you can’t wait until he gets here and figure out where you want to use him.”
OL Aidan Pastoriza, Zac Clark: “Those guys have great potentially with their size, I mean you look at them 6’6-6’7″ these are great players with great length. Tackles are probably one of the hardest positions to recruit in football. These guys have such high tenacity, they get after it, can move. We hope we can put some weight on them and develop them into our starting tackles for years to come. ”
Star Jiquan Sanks: “Jiquan number one is a great leader. He is one of those guys there in the backfield that can make all the calls, direct people. He is a very smart football player with great size. He doesn’t have the length as some of the others but brings a very physical presence. He will stick his head in there and make some great tackles, but man I love his leadership and the way he handles himself. He will be that guy that can defend the pass and stop the run at that star position.”
