This afternoon the Bearcats landed a big time target in the 2025 recruiting class as four star running back Zion Johnson announced his pledge to Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats per his Instagram. Johnson becomes the fourth member of the 2025 class for the Bearcats.
Johnson, a 5’8”, 190 pound running back out of Covington, Georgia who currently attends Newton High School. Johnson, has displayed true speed and explosiveness as he averaged nearly 150 yards per game last season where he finished with 20 total touchdowns.
Johnson is currently rated the 357th player in the class of 2025, and 31st running back in his class. A guy like Johnson could thrive in an offense like Satterfield’s after seeing what running backs have been able to do in his offense over the past few seasons.
Johnson chose Cincinnati over Georgia Tech, Florida, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky and many more.
