Moments ago, it was reported that Cincinnati outside linebacker Tyler Gillison has entered the transfer portal. However, sources confirmed to TFON that Gillison has indeed entered the transfer portal.
Gillison played a significant role for Cincinnati during the 2023 season as a reserve defensive tackle. Gillison finished the season recording just 15 tackles and two tackles for loss over the span of ten games. However, the talented sophomore recorded a career high four tackles in the Bearcats 32-29 loss to Baylor this past season.
Despite playing the 2023 season as a defensive edge Gillison was looking to make the transition to linebacker this spring. A transition that could be very beneficial due to his athleticism, frame and physicality standing 6’3” 238 pounds.
