NFL receivers Chris Moore, Tyler Scott earn UC Degrees

Per GoBearcats:

Current NFL wide receivers and former Cincinnati football stars Tyler Scott and Chris Moore graduated from UC on Friday, highlighting 10 Bearcats earning their diplomas in the August commencement.

Scott earned his degree in interdisciplinary studies. The second-year Chicago Bear played last night against the Houston Texans in the annual Hall of Fame preseason game in Canton before coming back to Clifton. Scott started four games as a rookie, totaling 17 catches for 168 yards. He was one of the most-explosive Bearcats in recent memory, boasting four 100-yard receiving games as a senior in 2022 and playing a key role on the 2021 CFP team, where he had 30 catches for 520 yards and five scores.

Moore earned his degree in criminal justice. He redshirted in 2011 before becoming a star over the 2013-15 seasons. His 2015 campaign included 39 receptions for 823 yards and seven touchdowns, with the 21.1 ypc ranking eighth nationally. His 2014 game at Ohio State saw all three of his catches go for touchdowns of 60, 83 and 78 yards, breaking Cincinnati and FBS records of 73.7 yards per grab. Moore will begin his ninth NFL season, and first with the Arizona Cardinals, this fall, and he has eight touchdown catches and 18 starts to his name.

Scott and Moore joined 20 other Bearcats in the NFL with degrees, giving UC football a 100% graduation rate for all 22 active NFL players.

Former Cincinnati men’s basketball player Mike Harris (1992-94) earned his degree as well. The Brooklyn, N.Y., native played his first two seasons at Miami Dade-North Community College before playing on the Bearcats’ 1993 Elite Eight team, followed by a 1994 Great Midwest title and another NCAA appearance.
