What We Learned in Week 10 of the NFL Season

Week in and week out there are great games to go along with some amazing story lines. Week 10 continued a great trend of great moments during the football week. Feel free to chime in and comment on our selections if you like. Enjoy!

The overtime format needs to change– Yes, there are new overtime rules, but there needs to be some more tweaks to improve the overtime period. I don’t know if it should copy the format from college football, but it’s a shame that the San Francisco 49ers and the St. Louis Rams had to leave the field without a win.

Philly has their wish- Michael Vick suffered a concussion against the Cowboys, and that may have begun the Nick Foles era. Foles had a few good plays as well as a few head scratching plays as well. The Eagles season is about over, so the Eagles fan base will get what they have been waiting for with the rookie quarterback Nick Foles. Be careful what you wish for!

Adrian Peterson/Peyton Manning continue to play above expectations– I don’t know who will win the NFL Comeback Player of the Year, but they should give the award to both players. Both players are playing at a MVP level, and looks to be improving as the season progresses.

Rex Ryan Does Not Believe in Tim Tebow– Mark Sanchez is playing about as bad as you can play at the quarterback position, and it still feels like he has a firm grip on his job. Ryan and other New York Jets have stood strong behind Mark Sanchez despite his horrid play. On the outside looking in it looks as if Tebow as a move made by the front office without much of Ryan’s input.

Phillip Rivers is not elite- I hate to sound like a broken record, but Rivers is an accident waiting to happen. Rivers went Shane Falco in the second half versus the Buccaneers, and was the driving force behind the second half debacle. Again S/O to J.T. for telling the truth about Rivers in a previous post lol.

Eli is in a funk– Eli may have been sipping some of that Super Bowl Rose’ during the past few weeks. Eli Manning has been looking like the other quarterback in New York the past few weeks, and the Giants are now 6-4. It’s early in the season, but there should be a little concern about how Eli is playing. I think the Giants will be okay, but things need to change quick in Gotham City.

The Kansas City Chiefs Still Suck– No Explanation Needed.
