What We Learned in Week 12 of the NFL Season

Week in and week out there are great games to go along with some amazing story lines. Week 6 continued a great trend of great moments during the football week. Feel free to chime in and comment on our selections if you like. Enjoy!

The New York Giants are back- I guess the Giants are only motivated when they play top-tier teams. Eli was sharp as well as the front seven of the G-Men. The Giants are looking to hit their stride at the right time just in time for the playoffs.

Colin Kaepernick Does it Again– Colin Kaepernick is making life on Jim Harbaugh easy and hard at the same time. Kaepernick is playing great and led the Niners to a victory in the SuperDome over the New Orleans Saints.  Alex Smith who was the starting quarterback has a record of 20-5-1 over his past 26 games, but we all know there is a good Alex and bad Alex. With Kaepernick in the lineup he has used all of his weapons and has shown big play ability from the quarterback position which was lacking with Alex Smith in the lineup. Things will get interesting the rest of the season with the Quarterback shuffle in San Francisco.

The Bengals Are Legit– The Bengals are hot during the month of November. Andy Dalton and A.J. Green have a new partner in crime in BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Though Ellis is not a top running back he does just enough to garner some respect. With back to back 100 yard games Green-Ellis teams will have to respect him even more, which will take some pressure off of Dalton. Can the Bengals make back to back playoff appearances? We shall see……

Superman is back– Cam Newton put on a show for football fans watching on this past Monday Night. Newton came out of his shell and had his best game of the season(358 total and 3 Touchdowns). Yes it was the Philadelphia Eagles, but it was a positive step for a player who needed a performance like this.

The Chargers Defense Needs to Be Slapped- The Chargers had the game won if they would have stopped the Ravens on 4th and 29. Flacco found Ray Rice on a check down which led to the first down. I don’t know if it’s lack of effort or skill, but something is wrong in San Diego. This is just another tip of the iceberg that will give Norv Turner his exit out of town.
