Around 2001 guys such as Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Amare Stoudemire were becoming household names as high school basketball players. Today those names are recognized in any country in the world that watches basketball. There was a player who had similar accolades coming out of high school, but failed to make it to the NBA. That player was Lenny Cooke. Cooke was a highly skilled swing man that could do it all on the court. Cooke put on a show wherever he laced up his kicks to hoop. If it was the ABCD Camp, Rucker Park, or high school majority of the time people were there to see Cooke shine. Since then Cooke has faded out of the limelight while Anthony, Stoudemire, and James have become household names in the NBA.
