Week 9: NFL Games of the Week

Last week I rejuvenated myself by making all of the right selections. I hope the trend continues from here on out. Okay, realistically it won’t happen, but hey it’s worth a shot. The Bengals and Dolphins kicked off the football weekend in very entertaining fashion. This week should be very interesting. There are only two games this week that feature both teams with a record of 500. or better. That doesn’t mean that every game will be a snooze fest, due to teams fighting to turn their seasons around. Take a look at the selections, feel free to drop a line if needed.

Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers (Monday Night Football)

This is a classic match up for two teams that could be heading in opposite directions. The Bears will not have Jay Cutler or Lance Briggs in action, but that doesn’t mean that the game will not be competitive. I think the Packers will be a little too much for the Bears, and Aaron Rodgers and the Pack discount double checks their way to a victory.

San Diego Chargers @ Washington Redskins

Okay, I think this is the week that RGIII breaks out. Many people may not realize, the Redskins had a 3-6 start last season before they went on their playoff run. If the Redskins beat the Chargers they will be 3-5, and that places them only one game back for the division lead. I have a feeling that Phillip Rivers will be very giving this week, and I expect the Redskins D to make a lot of plays as well. Redskins fans may have their chance to rejoice this weekend after a victory.

Tennesseee Titans @ St.Louis Rams

Both teams played each other in Super Bowl XXXIV, it will be a while before either team will get back to the promise land. I picked these two teams since they will probably won’t make the list again at any point in the season. The Rams haven’t been the same since Slo’ Down from the St.Lunatics lost his mask, and the Titans haven’t been the same since rapper Young Buck stabbed someone at the Vibe Awards. The Rams defense is no joke, but I am hoping to see Chris Johnson help the Titans Choppa City Juke their way to a victory.
