What’s up With J.R. Smith?

First I would like to say that I’ve been a fan of J.R. Smith since I first saw him in the McDonalds All-American Game in 2004. I will say that I am fed up, and it may be time to fade J.R. Smith. On a serious note it’s pretty obvious that J.R. Smith hasn’t been himself this season.

J.R. Smith hasn’t been the same since he got near Rihanna’s box during last years playoffs. Smith the reigning 6th man of the year has started off the season in forgettable fashion. From being suspended for smoking weed to shooting less than 40% from the field Smith hasn’t had much to cheer about this season. I’m pretty sure Smith is flourishing off the court, but he hasn’t had much success this season.

The Knicks are a mess this season, but since the East is so terrible they have time to save their season. J.R. Smith has been outplayed by rookie Tim Hardaway Jr., and with Amar’e having knee issues it’s hard for Melo to flourish without a second scorer.

Whenever J.R. stops shooting like Jay Reid from the movie “In too Deep” I think the Knicks can salvage their season.

Something has to shake in New York. Realistically the Knicks should be one of the top teams in the East but they are not.

The Knicks have enough veterans in the locker room to help get Smith on the right track. Smith is in his tenth year in the NBA, and you would think he wouldn’t be in a funk like he is in now. Knicks faithful deserve better than this, but first they have to solve the mystery of What’s wrong with J.R. Smith?
