Emotional UAB video after hearing their football program was shut down

After hearing rumors since the weekend Tuesday it was made official that the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has shut down their football program.

Of course to me it makes no sense (numbers game in Alabama), but after watching this video the people it affected, kids, coaches, students, staff and the list goes on it’s very sad. The two speakers in this 6 minute video pretty much summed up the feelings of the members of the program who are on the out.

The school president seemed emotionless as the members of the program spilled their guts out on the video. UAB became bowl eligible this year for the first time in a decade. What will the staff and current players do? Hopefully they all land on their feet.

Watch the video and feel free to drop a comment about the situation.

Thanks KD for showing me the video.
