The Packers can only blame themselves for not making the Superbowl

First off I want to say hats off to the Seattle Seahawks, they are the definition of a never say die attitude. I mean wow, they committed five turnovers at home and were purely domination for about 55 minutes of the game, but at the end they were able to insert their will and represent the NFC in this year’s Superbowl.

Ok enough of bigging up the Seahawks, now let’s peel back the mistakes or the implosion that was the Green Bay Packers. So many things had to happen right for this implosion to occur and for the Seahawks it did. First off in the first half the Packers needed about a half yard to get a touchdown and they chose to kick an 18 yard field goal that was a four point difference. I know you can say some points are better than nothing, but if you get stopped there you have a stagnate Seahawks offense at the half yard line; I’d take my chances on that. With that being said they survived that mishap. I know the drive before they got stopped on the two yard line and kicked a field goal from 19 yards, but inside the 1 is a different story. All in all the Packers were up 6-0.

All was good for the Packers as they went to halftime with a  16-0 led, until the Seahawks scored on a fake field goal, yes a fake f***** field in the playoffs to trim the lead to 16-7. The punter Jon Ryan threw a strike to lineman Garry Gilliam for the 19 yard score.

The Packers went on to take a 19-7 lead in the fourth quarter so all seemed good until there was about 5 minutes left in the game as Morgan Burnett picked off Russell Wilson which was his fourth turnover of the game and seemed like a dagger until Burnett slid down and didn’t try to make anything happen with the interception. Now with seconds left in the game that’s a great play, but there was a solid 5 minutes left in game you don’t concede like that. It seemed like the team took their foot off the pedal and they didn’t attack. A perfect example is star corner Richard Sherman was playing most of the 4thquarter with one arm after his arm got sandwiched in between one his team making a tackle on a Packer player. I know Sherman is one of the best corners in the game, but if he is hurt you much attack him, he was compromised out there and the Packers dropped the ball literally.
