The truth behind The Iverson practice rant

So did y’all check out the Iverson Documentary last Saturday on Showtime? I’m pretty sure you did, if you didn’t you didn’t listen to Ron on Friday. It talked about a lot of things the ESPN 30 for 30 on Iverson did, but got into more detail.

The thing that stuck out the most about the documentary is that the media seemed to have it out for Iverson from day one. I know he had a lot of self inflicted wounds, but who doesn’t make mistakes? What the media did with the practice rant was terrible how they didn’t show the whole session. Who knew he was sad because they loss and his best friend died? The guy was just showing emotion in a tough life and sports situation at the same time.

Check out the end of the YouTube video to see what I’m talking about. Us as media folks have to do a better job at painting the whole story and not just what will bring you clicks and notoriety. Also check out that Iverson Documentary when you get some free time.
