Wright and Warren earn first week AAC honors

I gave out game balls yesterday on the offensive and defensive side of the ball for the Bearcats game against the Bruins now the American Athletic Conference has honored two of the players I thought had a great impact on the game on Monday. Junior linebacker Bryan Wright and sophomore running back Mike Warren received awards from the conference.

Wright was Co-Defensive Player of the Week with Houston junior defensive tackle Ed Oliver. Per AAC’s tweet is says he had four tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble (on GoBearcats the stats say differently). Even with the differently reported stats his impact was felt. Congrats to Bryan Wright.

Warren earned AAC Honor Roll with his 142 yard three touchdown performance that saw him tote the rock 35 times. He also had three catches for 29 yards. Warren balled out and it is good to see the conference recognize that.

Salute to both of these young men.
