I was able to speak with Colerain High School athlete Elijah Ford after he recently visited Cincinnati. Ford is a member of the 2020 class and is a part of a program that is currently undefeated. He is listed at 6’2” and 195 pounds.
Check out Ford’s thoughts on his visit.
JS: How was your visit to UC? Was it an official visit?
EF: It was great, UC has a lot to offer academic wise. The campus and facilities are amazing. It was an official visit.
JS: Being a hometown guy, how does it feel to be getting attention from a local big time program?
EF: Being a hometown guy being able to have this opportunity that most student athletes don’t have is amazing.
JS: Do you have an offer from UC? If not, who else is showing interest?
EF: No, I currently don’t have an offer from UC. Miami (OH), Minnesota and a few others are showing slight interest.
JS: Which coaches have you been in contact with on the staff?
EF: I’ve mostly talked to Marcus Freeman (defensive coordinator) and I got a chance to have a quick conversation with coach (Luke) Fickell during the visit.
JS: How is your season going? Colerain is killing it right now.
EF: The season is going great right now, looking to finish it out strong with a state title.
JS: How would you describe your game?
EF: I can really play anywhere on the field due to my size and speed. It is all business when I’m on the field.
