After winning 37-21 against Tulane for homecoming Cincinnati moved to 6-0 overall 2-0 in the American Athletic Conference (East) and 25th in the Associated Press and Amway USA Today Coaches Polls.
This has been the programs best start since 2009. First time ranked in the AP since Oct. 14, 2012 (No. 21) and the first time in the coaches poll since Dec. 1, 2013 (No. 23)
