Saul Canelo Alvarez signed a five year, 11-fight deal worth a minimum of $365 million with DAZN. Alvarez signing this deal comes on the brink of HBO saying they are getting out of the boxing game and him coming off of a controversial super fight win versus Gennady Golovkin.
The Golden Boy Promoted boxer’s deal makes him the richest at athlete in sport history (without endorsements included) passing the New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Staton’s 13-year, $325 deal signed in 2014.
DAZN just launched in September in the US, they are a streaming combat site that costs $9.99 monthly so you can get one of the biggest fighters post Floyd Mayweather for roughly $120.00 a year. Or you can subscribe right before the fight and save money that way.
Alvarez’s fight December 15th will be on DAZN against England’s Rocky Fielding who is 27-1 with 15 KO’s in a super middleweight bout.
