Andy Ruiz, Jr. pulls off huge upset of heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua with 7th round KO

Andy Ruiz, Jr. pulled off the biggest upset in the heavyweight divison since Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson. Joshua is no Tyson, but he was undefeated and the holder of the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO titles. Ruiz was knocked down in the 3rd round, but returned the favor with two knockdowns in the same round. He knocked down Joshua in the 7th round twice stopping the fight and shocking the world.

Joshua has a rematch clause and he will have to go to the drawing board if he wants to beat Ruiz, Jr in a rematch. The Wilder and Fury fights will really be on hold since Joshua doesn’t have the straps, this will be interesting to see how it plays out. Ruiz, Jr. is the first Mexican American to win the heavyweight titles in the history of boxing, congrats to him.
