Perry Young out for the season after ACL injury

Per junior linebacker Perry Young’s Instagram account yesterday in the 42-0 blowout of Navy he tore his ACL. Young has been a key piece of the Bearcats defense this season and his loss will be felt.

Even though he missed one game due to injury he currently leads the team with 45 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, .5 sacks, a pass break up and a fumble recovery.

Joel Dublanko played in his absence yesterday and because Jarell White played the fourth linebacker in the 4-4 defense I’ll expect both of them to play a lot in Young’s slot. If I was a betting man I’d go with White getting most of the snaps, but both have had solid playing time throughout the season so it is a silver lining.

We are wishing you a speedy recovery get well #6.
