Defensive end Darrian Beavers led the Connecticut Huskies in sacks last season with 4.0 on the season. The sophomore played in 10 games for the Huskies and will have two years remaining of eligibility.
Beavers is a Cincinnati native as he played his high school ball at Colerain. In high school he played linebacker so it will be interesting to see if he will play linebacker or defensive end with Cincinnati. He is a former three star recruit.

Beavers isn’t the only local talent to come back home as safety Bryan Cook transferred from Howard and went to high school at Mount Healthy.
With a lot of prayer and a lot of thinking, I have decided to come back home and continue my college career with the University of Cincinnati Bearcats🙏🏽⏳🐯⚪️🔴⚫️ pic.twitter.com/f1kChzgAdJ
