Second meeting against Tulsa ends in a Cincinnati blowout, 88-64

January 10th the Cincinnati Bearcats played the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on the road and behind a heroic performance by Cane Broome, Cincinnati pulled off a huge conference win. After stealing a game just 14 days ago Tulsa was invited to Fifth Third Arena.

Cincinnati led from wire to wire on Thursday night which was a different script from 14 days ago. Broome didn’t have as great of a game, but he scored 10 points in 17 minutes of play. He also added three assists and two steals. Current American Athletic Conference Player of the Week Jarron Cumberland had another strong game posting a stat line of 23 points, four rebounds and five assists. Justin Jenifer scored 18 points tying a career high while going 6-of-10 from three. Tre Scott slapped up a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds on 6-of-7 shooting from the field.

They dominated the boards 44-26, which is a great sign because of late there margin has been a lot closer and they held Tulsa to 34.8% from three.

Now Cincinnati is 17-3 and 6-1 in the AAC and they will play Temple at Noon on Sunday.
