Catching up with Tampa Catholic (FL) DeAngelo Taylor Class of 2020 CB

DeAngelo Taylor is a 5’11” cornerback from Tampa FL, who currently has 28 offers and counting, including one from Luke Fickell and the Cincinnati Bearcats.  Taylor is currently a junior in high school and already has a composite three star 247 rating, with plenty of time to move up to the four star line.

Taylor was gracious enough to answer a couple of questions about his recruitment process so far:

In regards to any type of official visits lined up Taylor said “I have no officials lined up, but I plan on visiting Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia, Syracuse, and Iowa State.”  I asked Taylor what he would like to focus on moving forward on the field to help raise his stock and his answer was very mature for someone still so young, “I’m trying to improve the teamwork and making everyone want to play for each other. Keeping everyone together as a family.”

As for the “dream” offer or school he would like to end up at DJ again remained very level-headed with his answer “I don’t really have a dream school or offer I’m just keeping all eyes open and I’m happy to be apart of the process.”

Taylor still has another year of school before he ever has to truly commit to one school or another, but with the Bearcats in the mix we will be sure to keep an eye on this young man as he moves forward with his recruitment.
