Bearcats HC Luke Fickell addresses cancellation of the Nebraska game

Yesterday a big hammer dropped in the college football world when the Big Ten announced they weren’t going to play any non-conference games in 2020 due to CoVid-19 aka the corona virus. We don’t know if other conferences will follow, but the Ivy League has cancelled fall sports at least until 2021 and I’m guessing more will follow.

Cincinnati was supposed to travel to Nebraska which would’ve been a big non-conference game, but with the Big Ten’s news it means, Cincy won’t get to participate in that key non-conference matchup this year. Another thing that is rough about the cancellation is the Bearcats would’ve had a real good chance to win on the road against a P5 opponent.

After the announcement Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell talked with Mark Packer of XM College Sports about the cancellation of the Nebraska game. Check out the clip below!
