Buccaneers sign OLB Elijah Ponder to Practice Squad

Yesterday the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed outside linebacker Elijah Ponder. Ponder (6-3, 275) was an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati. He played in all three preseason games for the Buccaneers tallying four tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, two quarterback hits and a recovered fumble.

For those that know Ponder from Cincinnati remember as a stone wall defensive end, so seeing him at outside linebacker is something they aren’t use to, but it is great to see him adjusting to a new position.

#BearcatNation is rooting for the former Bearcat.
