This was the game that UC fans had circled as one that could end up being a potential defeat for the 5th ranked in the College Football Playoff rankings at the moment Cincinnati Bearcats football team. That was not the case this past Saturday at historic Nippert Stadium as the Bearcats destroyed the SMU Mustangs 48-14.

Notes:

They held one of the best offenses in nation to 199 total yards for the whole thats including making life hectic for quarterback Tanner Mordecai who completed 15-of-26 passing for 66 yards and one touchdown.
  • UC’s offense exploded for 544 total yards. Desmond Ridder on his Senior Day put on a show going 17-of-23 passing for 274 yards, three touchdowns and no turnovers. He threw, ran and caught a touchdown. Incredible day to one of the all time great Bearcat.

  • All the seniors have done so much to get this program to where it is right now and to have a showing like they did was just the icing on the cake.
