The Bearcats got good news as four star defensive end Mario Eugenio committed to the Bearcats. The four star defensive end was on campus this past weekend for an official visit as the Bearcats dominated the SMU Mustangs. The 6-foot-3, defensive end attends Gaither High School in Clearwater, Florida.
Eugenio, was once committed to Coach Jim Harbough and the Michigan Wolverines before deciding to reopen his recruitment back on October 7th. Euegnio is ranked in the ESPN Top 300 in the class of 2022, and was a huge target for the Bearcats. Per 247 Sports Composite rankings he is the 265th player in the nation and the 16th best end. He is the highest recruit in the programs history. The lead recruiters for Mario Eugenio were defensive line coach Greg Scruggs and coach Gino Guidulgi according to 247. Mario Eugenio will join a very talented 2022 class and will look to solidify the 2022 recruiting class for the Bearcats.
