The Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys met up to face off in the final game of the preseason for the respected teams. The Seattle Seahawks have two former Bearcats who have impressed a lot of people around the NFL so far in Joel Dublanko and Coby Bryant.
Bryant has gotten a lot of praise for his amazing play in camp so far. He had another good game today against a Dallas football team that has a lot of speed at wide receiver. Bryant was mostly lined up in the nickel all night for the Seahawks and showed the team what he would bring to the field. Battling against Justin Coleman for that starting slot spot on the Seahawks and showed exactly what he could bring to the Seahawks defense that has lost a lot of pieces, but are looking to get back on the winning side of things. Bryant finished off the game with four total tackles (three solo) and a pass deflection that flew off his helmet.
The biggest surprise of the night was the other former Bearcat who is on the Seahawks defense Joel Dublanko. Dublanko was signed by the Seahawks in the first week of August and ever since he has gotten there he has impressed the coaching staff. Today was no different, as he finished with a game-high 12 tackles for the Seahawks while also picking up 0.5 a sack and a pass deflection. Outside of the stats was he everywhere on the field and made numerous plays to keep the Cowboys held in check for most of the night. Dublanko with this performance is hoping to make the Seattle Seahawks’ final roster cuts and make a contribution to a young team looking to get back on the winning side of things.
