Cincinnati Bearcats Midseason report card: Defense

The Cincinnati Bearcats are currently on bye ranked No. 21 in the AP and Coaches Poll with a 5-1 record (2-0 in the AAC). They have only loss to Arkansas and that wasn’t on the defense. This unit has held it down with the mass exodus to the NFL. They give up 313.2 in total yards per game which ranks 20th, 126.8 yards per game are giving up on the ground which ranks 45th and 186.3 yards per game in the air which is 21st. They give up 21.2 points per game which is good enough for 38th in the nation.

They have 23 sacks, six interceptions, seven forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and four touchdowns.
