Would the Bearcats be able to go on the road and force a winner hosts the championship game next Friday?

Extending their lead to 17 after a 28-yard field goal from Ryan Coe. This was a huge win for the Owls and kept them in this game in the first half. Temple would keep the momentum from the big stop with a 6-play 50-yard drive that led to a long 43-yard field goal. This cut the lead 17-3 midway through the 2nd quarter. The Bearcats would go three and out on the pursuing drive that saw Bryant limp off after a third-down sack with an ankle injury. The Owls would start driving, but Warner threw a pass over his target and Jacob Dingle made an exceptional play to get the interception. Evan Prater would come in for the next drive with Bryant in the medical tent. The Bearcats would go three and out to give the Owls the ball right back. Both teams would get nothing going before halftime. The score remained 17-3 at the half. The Bearcats would able to control the run game only allowing 7 yards on the ground and a total of 106 yards in the first half. The Bearcats main focus was injuries in the first half losing Ben Bryant and Arquon Bush before the half ended.
