Neil’s offensive game balls in 23-3 win over Temple

Evan Prater, quarterback

Backup quarterback Evan Prater replaced the injured Ben Bryant and did a great job commanding the Bearcats offense. Prater would finish the day 12-of-17, for 127 yards through the air, while rushing for 27 yards on the ground. Prater a dual threat quarterback flashed his athleticism at Lincoln Financial Field as the redshirt sophomore showed what he can do in the opportunity that was provided after Bryant left with an injury. I thought Prater played very well in Bryant’s absence and did a lot of things that the Bearcat faithful thought they’d see when his opportunity came. Prater really settled in and took advantage of his opportunity, as this could be a huge week for Prater pending how serious the injury is to Bryant. The Bearcats have a huge test ahead of them come Friday, when they take on Tulane, and if Bryant can’t go it would be a huge opportunity for the Cincinnati native to show what he can do on the big stage.
