Bearcats new head coach Scott Satterfield would like to retain current interim head coach Kerry Coombs on staff

It was reported by Chad Brendel of BCJ that newly hired Scott Satterfield would like to keep current interim head coach Kerry Coombs on staff. Coombs was the Bearcats cornerbacks/special team coach last season after having a previous tenure. He is a Cincinnati native and is known for being a great recruiter just ask people in Columbus.

Satterfield was announced as the 43rd head coach in program history today. We learned today that the assistant coach pool has risen to $7.25 million and Satterfield will get $3.4 million in his first year, with an annual raise of $100,000.

If Satterfield can retain Coombs that would be huge as current players love Coombs and we know that Gino Guidugli has already left. Who will be on the new head coaches staff? We will report it once we get word, but with $7.25 million at his disposal he should be able to assemble a very Big 12 ready crew.
