Bearcats offensive coordinator Tom Manning bolting to the NFL, taking Colts tight ends position

Multiple reports state that Cincinnati Bearcats offensive coordinator Tom Manning is leaving to return to the NFL, will take the tight ends coaching position with the Indianapolis Colts. He was the Colts tight ends coach in 2018, and the Iowa State offensive coordinator the last few seasons.

This is a huge blow for the Bearcats ahead of Scott Satterfield’s first Spring Ball in Cincinnati.

With Spring Ball a few weeks away it will be important for Satterfield to get his offensive coordinator in place sooner than later. Manning joins Greg Gasparato and Derek Nicholson as coaches who were hired and didn’t coach a game with the team before leaving for greener pastures.
