What should you expect from the Bearcats running back room this season?

With the first game of the season less than a week away the excitement for Bearcats football has been picking up. We all know Luke Fickell is now at Wisconsin and Scott Satterfield has made the move from Louisville to Cincinnati making the trip up I-71 North. Neil has talked about the offensive line, wide receiver room and highlighted Evan Prater transition from quarterback to wide receiver and now we touch the running back room.

For those who have followed the program over the past few years just know the running game style will be a lot different. Satterfield runs a zone blocking scheme that is similar to Mike McDaniels in the NFL or throwback Denver Broncos teams. At his time at Louisville he kept a pretty balanced offense and normally averaged over 200 yards per game.

With so many that have left the program during the coaching change let’s take a look at the players who will be toting the rock this year for the Bearcats first year in the Big 12.
