What should you expect from the Bearcats running back room this season?

Ethan Wright, senior:

Wright is back from being a safety/running back last year. He had 43 yards on eight carries last season. If the young man can stay healthy he will be a valuable playmaker out the backfield. He runs very physical for his size and can make plays in the passing game. I would bank on a game or two where Wright makes a play that stands out.

Ryan Montgomery, super senior:

Montgomery has kind of been the forgotten man in the mix, put everyone that is a Bearcats fan knows he can make plays in the passing game and return game as well. He finished with 270 yards and five touchdowns last season. Having somebody as skilled as Montgomery in this running back room just shows you how talented this group is.

Stephan Byrd, redshirt freshman:

Byrd had a real nice Fall camp, he showed flashes, but he will just have to wait his turn as this team is deep with experience.

Manny Covey, freshman:

Covey looks like a Myles Montgomery clone to me, which in the future will come in handy.
