Wes Miller and the Bearcats are set to welcome a major 2024 target to campus this Saturday as the Bearcats prepare to take on Eastern Kentucky University. Trilly Donovan was first to report the news first before Bearcat Journal’s Chad Brendel also confirmed the visit.
Labaron Philon, is currently ranked the 31st player in the class of 2024, and number three ranked point guard in the 2024 class per 247. Philon is a natural scorer, and one of the best high school prospects in all of high school basketball. Philon, has recorded 2,300 plus points heading into his senior season, after an astonishing junior season where he averaged nearly 35 points per game.
Philon, recently announced he will spend his final year of high school playing for prestigious powerhouse Link Academy in Missouri. The same high school that 2024 commit Tyler McKinley attended a season ago before transferring back home to Winton Woods.
Philon was originally committed to the University of Auburn before announcing he was going to be reopening his recruiting process earlier this summer. Philon, recently announced his top four schools that included Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Alabama and Kansas.
