Throughout the rest of the first half, it was a battle to see who else would score, but no team did. Going into the second half, the Bearcats came out with energy. Megan Smith scored in her second consecutive game during the 46th minute. Compared to the first half The Bearcats looked ready to play with a sense of urgency, but it would not be enough as the Bearcats did not score again in the second half ending the game at a 1-1 draw. For the season the Bearcats record is 1-2-1.
Erica Demers says, “She is disappointed she wants to keep learning and growing as a group, but she was disappointed in the effort tonight. Tonight, was our team least effort having a good game plan going into it. Kudos to Central Michigan they were great tonight they put us under a lot of pressure. We combated the pressure in spurts, but the game is 90 minutes long I thought we were only good for 30 minutes.”
